How Quickly Can I Get An Online Cash Advance?
Nov 17th
The money from cash advance companies can usually be in your account within 24 hours, which is why it is such a hugely popular way of getting emergency cash these days. However, many people are worried about getting a cash advance, because they do not know how long it takes for the money to be moved into their bank.
But the whole process is quick and simple. If you apply for a cash advance and are approved, then you can be sure that you will receive the cash within a day or two. An online cash advance form is meant to be easy to fill in because the companies know that you are in need of cash quickly and that every bit of help that will make it easier to receive that cash will be highly prized by its customers.
The whole process of getting a cash advance is generally very quick. To apply for a cash advance loan, you just complete a simple application form and then before you know it, the cash is in your account and ready for your use. Of course, repaying it is not quite so simple, you could take months to pay it back, but you would already know how long the repayment process would be, when you fill in the cash advance form.
Online cash advances do seem to be quicker solutions to cash requirements than applying for offline cash advances mainly because of the “no credit rating check” that they boast. Online cash advances make the application process faster for you because a “no credit rating check” means that no time will be wasted looking into your previous credit history. This way, there will be no time lost assessing whether you are eligible for their cash advance or not.
Due to a speedy and easy process like this, online loan companies can usually promise a reply within 24 hours of having completed the cash advance application form. The loan company understands the kind of situation you are in and will help you expedite whole process.
All they require is that you meet certain rules, like being over the age of majority (18 or 21) and earning at least $1,200 a month. Ensuring that their customers meet these requirements is a safety net for many companies and their clients, so that they know that you can make the instalments with your wages.
It is well-known that if the cash advance firm is quick off the mark with the cash advance reply, then the chances of you recommending them to a friend who may also have a cash problem is quite high, which means good, cheap advertising for the loan company. After all, you wouldn’t recommend your friend to a company that takes forever to reply to an application when they need the cash sooner rather than later.

Ecological Garden Furniture
Nov 17th
If you have a beautiful garden, then you probably have a patio of a deck so that you can get every last scrap of enjoyment out of it. Most patio furniture is left outside for a lot of the year so it is best to get high quality garden patio furniture. High quality garden patio furniture is essential if you expect it to withstand the rigours of all kinds of weather and yet last a reasonable length of time too.
Another factor, particularly these days, is the ecology. People want to have as little impact on the ecology as possible, thereby reducing their carbon footprint, as they say. The manufacture of plastic involves polluting the environment with more CFC’s and disposal can cause problems too. Plastic can take decades and decades to bio-degrade.
Metal patio garden furniture also has its problems. It has to be mined and fabricated and people are starting to worry about robbing Mother Earth of her minerals, but at least old metal can be recycled. That leaves us with timber and especially hardwood. Before, there was a great deal of concern in almost every country about logging, but a lot of countries have the problem under control now after sustained pressure from the West.
Most people realize these days how important it is to look after our planet. There is even a special day to help people remember the Earth’s dire state called ‘Earth Day’. Using hardwood from replenishable sources is the best way to maintain our forests.
Garden furniture made from hardwood from a guaranteed sustainable source is the most ecological way out. If you maintain your hardwood furniture according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for the type of wood you have, it will last for a decade or more. Far longer than any plastic or metal furniture, which you might well have to replace every two years or so.
Acacia hardwood offers a hard wearing and comfortable alternative to teak. In fact, this type of wood is much like teak, as if you leave it untreated it will transform to a silvery grey color. However, it is best to treat all hardwood once or twice a year with suitable oil in order to maintain the warm tones of the timber.
Most people will have a garden patio furniture set of up-right chairs, loungers and a table or two or a nest of small tables. However, there are a few other pieces of furniture that will help you get more pleasure from your garden. It is nice to be able to sit in the garden after it gets dark or when it is a bit chilly too. This can be achieved easily with a few accessories.
I suggest a patio heater, an electric mosquito killer and suitable lighting. Patio heaters are not dear any longer and a single upright propane heater will keep up to eight people warm, depending on their seating pattern. An electric mosquito killer will usually keep a whole garden clear. In fact, some will keep a quarter of an acre or more clear of flying insects. These two items may provide enough light for you, but is best to have a few spots to highlight a plant in bloom or to read by.

Mutual Funds
Nov 12th
Mutual funds are one of the ways whereby people can earn some money by saving without much risk. With mutual funds the company has a portfolio of stocks, shares and bonds that can increase the client’s investment. While many countries have their own kind of mutual funds you will find that Canadian mutual funds have a parent company that regulates their operations.
In general, Canadian mutual funds are available only to residents of Canada. If you desire to invest your money in one of these Canadian mutual funds then you should look into the matter very carefully. The various companies that you can check out should have all of their terms and conditions listed in a clear and easy to understand manner.
You can look through the various financial newspapers and the Internet to see how the different Canadian mutual funds are performing. This overview will help you make a comparison between the various mutual funds that you are interested in.
To obtain a clearer picture of what types of stocks and bonds there are in each of these companies, you should examine the listings that are given. Compare these details with those of other mutual funds.
In general, Canadian mutual funds will have the same kind of funds as the mutual funds in the US have. These funds include index mutual funds, low cost funds, front load funds, no-load funds and others. Before you decide to invest in a Canadian mutual funds group, you will need some legal advice.
This legal advice will need to deal with the tax you might have to pay on both sides of the border. This is vital as IRS in the US requires shareholders in investment corporations to pay some kind of tax on capital gains distributions. You will also need to understand how the Canadian government looks at the tax rates for Canadian mutual funds.
There is one aspect that requires deeper inspection when you go through the various Canadian mutual funds. Canadian mutual funds can have a number of different brands of stock held under the umbrella of one fund. For instance you will find that RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) Asset Management Inc. has one type of stock brand called the RBC Funds. Whereas ‘The Mackenzie Financial Corporation’, on the other hand, has 9 different brands.
All of this makes the idea of investing in Canadian mutual funds quite interesting. If you are interested, you will need to find out how you can invest in one of these funds. Your financial adviser should be able to offer you some help in this endeavour.

How Will I Know A Termite Mound If I See One?
Nov 10th
Termite mounds differ from species to species although to the amateur student of termites, many of them look alike. However, an specialist can often deduce the species simply by looking at the mound. Termites construct their nests in all kinds of places. Some build theirs in living trees like bees, others build them in dead upright or fallen trees. Tree stumps are a favourite of some other varieties of termite, which is why it is always suggested that you do away with tree stumps in termite zones.
Then there are yet another sort of termite – those that like to live in or close to the soil. Those that live in the ground are called subterranean termites. As they mine their tunnels and excavate the chambers for their nests, they eat a lot of the matter and compact a lot more, but what they find superfluous, they carry to the surface. This sometimes forms part of the nest, but not a vital part of it. This makes a termite mound of sorts, but they are not the impressive ones that you see in films.
Those termite mounds, also erroneously known as ant hills in Africa and Australia, are made by termites that live above ground, although most species will also have tunnels and chambers underground as well. These are the large structures that termites are famous for.
They are largely built by termites living in the dry savannas and dry wastelands of Australia and Africa. The biggest known to man is about nine metres (thirty feet) high, although the average is nearer to a little over a metre (three or four feet) tall.
Nevertheless, these termite mounds are not only impressive for their height. They are also remarkably strong. Elephants sometimes use them as scratching posts. Imagine that! Two tons of elephant rasping itself up and down on your earthen hut or even a wooden house. But the really fascinating stuff goes on inside.
The eggs and the nymphs (young) of some species can only survive within a tolerance of plus or minus one degree centigrade. The Compass Termite manages that by creating a wedge shaped mound with the longest sides facing north-south. This allows the predominant drafts to be drawn in by the column of hot air rising from the base of the nest up to and out of the roof of the mound.
The termite mounds of some varieties are so beautiful and weird that they attract tourists, who invariably gaze in wonderment at the design and complexity of the mound. Scientists too have been investigating termite mounds for a long time and recently Australian engineers have joined in.
They are hoping that they will be able to learn termite technology in order to construct large buildings so that they are more self-regulating. They are actually constructing a man-made termite mound to try out their theories in the anticipation that they will be able to build them into future designs.
Therefore, in a few years time, if someone asks you what a termite mound looks like, you may simply be able to point at the civic offices and say: like that.
Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on many subjects, but is at present concerned with Termidor termite treatment – a termite killer. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for further details.

Termite Inspection Scams
Nov 7th
Times are tough and most people reckon that they are going to get a great deal harder. This is bad news for the general public. There are plenty of scams going around at any one time as it is, but it gets worse when people begin to feel financially insecure. Some of the costliest frauds are in the construction and home improvement market.
Termite inspection falls into this category as does termite inspection fraud and termite inspection fraud is on the increase. So it wise to know what to be on the look out for, if fraudsters come calling. One of the first things to be suspicious of is if the pest inspector just knocks at your door, doing ‘free termite inspections in your neighbourhood for this week only’.
Just as you are advised to do with any cold caller, ask to see his identity card and then ring his office. This is not a guarantee that the inspector is on the level, but at least you have tried something. If he does not possess any ID, do not let him in. Send him on his way and phone the police.
If the pest inspector passes this test and you allow him in, make certain that you know how much the inspection will cost, before he starts. Watch as he carries out his inspection. Be on the look out for ‘seeding’, ie the planting of evidence. If he produces some flying termites’ wings or some live termites, be sure that he did not bring them with him
If the inspection shows termite damage, make sure that it really is termite damage. If you have never come across any termite damage before, you might be fooled into thinking that dry or wet rot was caused by termites.
If you are unsure, delay or phone a friend to come over and offer you a second opinion. If you do not know anyone, phone a well-known local builder.
Another termite con is in the substitution of the chemicals and / or insecticides they use. This is not easy for the untrained person to pick up on, but attempt to find out which chemicals, pesticides or fumigating gas they say they are going to use and then check up on the items on the Internet or have a friend on hand who would be familiar with the difference between a low-priced copy and the real thing.
If the chemicals that your professional uses are inferior, then it might not eradicate all the termites, leaving your premises open to re-infestation. Keep one of the containers to check up later, if you are still not satisfied.
Make certain you get a guarantee and endeavour to get an insurance-backed warranty. Follow up any phone numbers or web site details. If you think that you have been a target of termite fraud, get in touch with the police and report as many details as you can to the local authorities too.
If you do nothing, the fraudsters have won, if you do something, you may get reimbursement or compensation and you may stop someone else being swindled.
Owen Jones, the writer of this article, writes on many subjects, but is at present concerned with types of termites. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for further details.

Credit Cards Dos And Don’ts
Nov 6th
Just ask yourself: is the credit card working for you or are you working for your credit card? Most people’s answer to that question will depend on how they use their “plastic friend” as credit cards are sometimes known. As many people with burned fingers will tell you, they didn’t realize that things had become so bad until very late, because most credit card companies try so hard to make themselves sound like a charity. Well, take it from me, they aren’t.
But this is not an anti credit card campaign. They have their benefits – in the USA, for example, if you want to rent a vehicle, you have got to have a (major) credit card. But, think about this scenario:
You get an offer in the mail that sounds good, perhaps it’s a new TV or fridge. But it costs $2,000. You have a credit card with a $5,000 limit, so you go out and buy the product right away. Often, this is how your repayment schedule will work out. Most credit cards charge a minimum percentage of the total balance (typically 2 percent) per month. Assuming the interest rate is 18 percent and you choose to repay the minimum amount of $40, $30 of that will go towards interest and only $10 will come off the $2,000!
Does it sound worrying? Well, it doesn’t need to be. The moral of the tale is to use the credit card very, very carefully.
Credit Cards Dos and Don’ts
There is a lot of truth in the advice that credit cards are not a substitute for not having money. Every time you use a credit card this should be the theme replaying in your head. And you would do good to remember the following too:
Dos.
1] Always plan for the purchases that you need and those that you only want. You need the essentials, and you want everything else. The ability to make a distinction might help you plan wisely.
2] If you are caught up in financial difficulties, it’s always a good idea to talk to the credit card issuer who might re-schedule your payments. If you simply default, that only helps to build up a bad credit history and you might find yourself being denied credit in the future.
3] Unless it is an emergency, remaining within your credit limits will help you a great deal. If you must spend over the limit, ensure you are within manageable levels, say within 30 percent.
4] If your mailbox is full of information on credit cards with more favourable deals than you currently are enjoying, you may approach your issuer for a better deal. They want to keep you as their customer, so they will listen.
Don’ts
1] Do not use your credit card to make household purchases. It’s very expensive in the long run.
2] Do not only pay the minimum amount necessary. You will end up paying exorbitant amounts of interest. The quicker you are able to clear the debt the better.
3] Do not use the credit card to buy things you can’t afford.

What Termite Deterrents Are There?
Nov 5th
Every home-owner needs to look after their asset. This takes maintenance, regular and thorough maintenance. There are many threats to a structure, especially if there is a substantial amount of timber in it. Most properties have a lot of wooden components. The rafters in the roof, the joists supporting the floors and the casing behind the plasterboard walls are all subject to attack by mould and insects.
The types of dangers your that house faces depends on the average temperature where you live. Wet rot and dry rot are pretty universal, as is attack by wasps, but the worst and fastest-working peril is from termites and they only live in warmer climes.
If you live in a termite sector, then you really have to watch out for these insects. If you want to delay your inspections, you can use termite deterrents and poisons to make your maintenance programme a little easier.
This will involve spreading chemicals in most cases as they are more powerful and longer-lasting. These chemicals should be laid down or sprayed wherever termites are likely to commence an attack on the structure of your home.
This basically means everywhere that there is untreated timber. There are three basic types of termites, the damp wood termites, the dry wood termites and the subterranean termites. The first two types may fly into your attic and establish a nest like a wasps’ nest; the subterranean termites will come up into the basement via underground tunnels. Subterranean termites are by far the worst termites to have and they are usually the most difficult to discover.
If you live in a termite region, then you really ought to make quarterly inspections of your attic and basement and one of those inspections should be towards the end of Spring, when termites, together with other insects spread their wings, quite literally, and try to set up new colonies.
A nest of termites can consist of between several hundred and several million termites, so it is best not to delay. If you are loathe to do these inspections yourself or if you have to have written guarantees on your buildings because you buy and sell them often, it is better to get a professional pest controller in to do this for you.
There are two chief termite deterrents. There is the soil barrier to counteract the subterranean termites and contact insecticides to poison any swarming reproductive termites that may fly into your loft in order to establish a new colony.
If you are one of the new age thinkers, who tries hard not to use chemicals unless absolutely necessary, you will probably be disappointed in your quest to deter termites. Unfortunately, there are no known effective natural termite deterrents, although there are plenty of chemical ones.
Another option, which is a half-way house, is to put termite bait at strategic spots around the foundations of your house. You can buy these bait boxes fairly cheaply or have a firm install them for you.
You have to check these termite bait boxes regularly. Once you see termite damage in the bait box, you put poison in there, which the worker termites will take back to their nest and poison it with.
Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on many subjects, but is at present concerned with how to get rid of termites. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for more details.

Oak Patio Furniture
Nov 4th
Oak is one of the best timbers to use for patio garden furniture. It is local to most Western countries and, being a hardwood, can endure the weather, if treated correctly. It is very durable and, so long as you maintain it, it will give you pleasure and comfort on your garden patio for decades to come.
Oak is certainly not inexpensive, but if you consider that it will last for ten to twenty years, whereas plastic and metal may last two to four years, it does not work out a bad deal over the long term and during that period, you will have been sitting on garden furniture that is the bee’s knees in every way.
Just a point of interest here that will give you more range when you are buying your hardwood garden furniture, oak and cherry wood share many of the same characteristics as far as garden patio furniture is concerned.
The patterns of whorls and rings in the timber is truly beautiful, so in order to maintain the stocks of these trees, please make sure that your patio furniture comes from a replenishable source.
Make sure you follow the maker’s recommendations as far as maintenance is concerned. This will prolong the life of your hardwood furniture, ensuring that you will get extra life – up to twice as much – life out of your hardwood garden furniture.
The manufacturer or craftsman will probably deliver your furniture primed and stained and maybe varnished too. If you get raw timber furniture, the maker is probably leaving your options open. The least you should do is rub an oil into it.
Ask at your decorators’ merchants or timber merchants which is the best. You could also stain it and varnish it. Ask to see examples before you go ahead, but it has to be done at least once a year anyway, so you can change approach when it wears off.
This category of furniture will be seen often at commercial venues, because it is so hard wearing and long lasting, if correctly looked after. You should let commercial sense guide you and follow suit, if you can afford it. If you cannot afford a full suite of hardwood garden patio furniture all in one go, why not buy one or two pieces of furniture a year?
Once you have your furniture in place, you can start thinking about accessories. The most common accessories are lighting, power points, mosquito zappers, sun shades and patio heaters. You will notice that restaurants and pubs with a patio will use patio heaters when the weather gets cooler. They have to do this, otherwise customers would peter out.
You can learn from this for your back garden. Get yourself a patio heater so that you can get pleasure from your garden patio in comfort every month of the year. Add a few extra plants and a few nocturnal blossoming plants. Put in a small pond with a fountain and some fish. Complete the whole picture with a few spotlights pointing at your favourite features and hang up a mosquito trap. This way you will get the most out of your oak or cherry wood garden patio furniture.

Choosing A Business Credit Card
Nov 4th
Among the vast number of credit cards on the market, one of the most misunderstood is the business credit card. Many people decide not to apply for a business credit card because aside from having a definite target market – business owners or business executives – it appears to be complicated to use. Although a business credit card has more provisos, it has a lower interest rate compared with other kinds of credit cards and, contrary to common misconception, it can be very useful if used properly.
What is a business credit card? Generally, a business credit card is for business people’s use, so compared with a regular credit card, a business credit card has a high credit limit but a low interest rates. Depending on the business credit card you choose, a business credit card usually also brings a lot of benefits.
As it is aimed at business people or those people who are starting a new business, a business credit card is designed to benefit these small businesses. A business credit card helps the start-up business by allowing it to finance bills or payroll, thus improving cash flow. Apart from presenting the image of a reliable credit card company, business credit cards supply itemized statements of expenditure and give quality customer service as its two major advantages.
Aside from enjoying higher spending limits and lower interest rates, a business credit card provides numerous alternative credit options for small businesses. A business credit card also caters to large corporations as well as those people who are just beginning their own business because it closely reflects the base rate of credit.
Simplifying business credit cards. It usually pays dividends to go to the bank when one requests for a credit card to get answers to all the immediate inquiries you may have. But since a business credit card is for business people who are always on the go, many business credit card issuers offer online applications for business credit cards. Some of these business credit cards offer small businesses a line of credit of up to $100,000 at a competitive APR as low as prime + 1.99% for both cash and check purchases. Also 100% of the line is available as cash and no collateral is necessary.

Garden Patio Deck Layout
Nov 2nd
After you have finished buying in your garden patio furniture and you have set it out as you like, it is time to park yourself in one of your new patio chairs with one of your favourite drinks and maybe a pen and paper, and take stock of the situation.
Is your garden patio a little congested or do you have loads of room? Are there other things you would like to have out there? How about plants? Do you have enough plants and bushes – eye candy? Will you be using it only in the daytime or in the evening or even at night too? Will you need lighting, for instance?
This is where your own personal stylishness can be added to your shop bought furniture to make the patio truly your patio. So, if you live in a home that only has a small garden, you might want to think about things that hang rather than things that must be placed on the ground, which will take up walking space.
If you do not have much space, but you want to grow plants with edible fruit such as strawberries or tomatoes, you could get some hanging baskets. You can hang them from bushes or standard lamps or fix them to a boring wall. Similarly, you could grow herbs or other small flowers in a window box which has been fixed to a wall or placed on top of it. Or put shelving up and put boxes and pots on that.
If your patio is too sunny, you could grow sunflowers or put up a trellis or an arbour and grow vines or clematis up it. Bamboo grows fast too. If it is too shady, plant plenty of bright yellow and white flowers and maybe paint the walls white or pink, if you are not keen on glare.
If your garden patio is a much bigger, you could add garden accessories in order to further your enjoyment. For instance, you could build a barbecue area out of stone slabs or bricks. You could add a fountain too. A fountain makes the very soothing sound of running and splashing water and fish are a delight to look at.
For the colder months, you could build a fireplace, if local bylaws permit or get a patio heater. They are very efficient and can keep a fair radius warm, depending on the ambient temperature.
You will probably need some type of lighting as well, if you reckon on spending some evenings on your patio. I suggest a few spotlights to highlight your favourite flowers and the fountain and a broader beam light that you can read by. Do not put these lights near where you mean to sit because they will attract flying insects. However, they make a good distraction from you and will keep all but the blood sucking insects away.
For parasites such as mosquitoes, you should get some form of mosquito trap. Some are very good and promise to keep a quarter or even half an acre clear of mosquitoes and other such nuisances.
For all these additional accessories you will need electric points. Therefore, if you plan your garden with pen and paper as I mentioned at the beginning of this article, then you will be able to show the electrician where you want the points and what-not in your new garden patio layout.
Owen Jones, the author of this piece, writes on many subjects, but is currently involved with commercial patio heaters. If you are interested in patio heaters too, please click through to Residential Patio Heaters.

The Remodeled Garage Heater
Oct 28th
If you have converted your garage into a workshop or home office, you are sure to need heating of one form or another. This is because most garages are not built to the same standards of insulation as the main domestic building. However, that need not be a problem. You may even have the opposite problem during the summer, as garages often do not have windows, or at least large ones, either.
Ventilation could be another matter that you will have to cope with, but we will come to that later. If you have a plentiful supply of dead wood, you could set up a pot-bellied stove, but you will have to vent the flue outside. This is very easily done, since most garage walls are only one brick or block thick. However, if they do not burn correctly, there can be a smell, which you may find disagreeable.
Or you could use a paraffin/kerosene heater. They are cheap to buy and are readily portable. These heaters do not necessarily have to have a flue. They are easy to turn on as many of them employ an electric starter. Some also have a thermostat to regulate the temperature. They can be a hazard if there are children around as they can be tipped over. However, for most people, the glitch would be the smell given off.
You could use an electric hot air heater. They are quite cheap to buy, are easily portable and do not require a flue, but they can create a very dry atmosphere and are costly to run.
One of the most popular choices these days is a gas heater. There are many different types of gas heater, but most run on butane or propane. Most of the models are fairly reasonably priced. The main advantage of a gas heater is that they give consistent heat, are fairly cheap to run and are portable. Or at least many of them are.
You could have one built in, but it is hardly worth it, unless you are using gas that needs to be vented. Propane gas heaters also come with or without thermostatic controls. A propane heater could also double as a patio or deck heater on chilly evenings.
These gas heaters come in two forms: vented and unvented. The unvented models are the portable ones. They use the air from the room and the vented models have a flue that vents straight out of the garage. The slight disadvantage of the unvented model is that you have to keep the room airy at all times.
Therefore, if you decide on a portable, unvented propane heater, you must leave a window partly open in order to allow the exchange of air and these heaters can be used as patio or deck heaters during the spring and autumn/fall. However, the vented gas heaters are fixed and have a flue attached, so they cannot be taken outside. Furthermore, if you decide on a vented model, you would be better off getting a professional in to install it for you by the book.
Owen Jones, the writer of this article, writes on many subjects, but is currently involved with the propane outdoor heater. If you are interested in patio heaters too, please click through to Residential Patio Heaters.

The very simple and quick ways, by which lenders are making cash advances available to people who need money on a short, temporary basis, is creating a social phenomenon called “cash advance dependence.” Many people do not even realize that they are slowly becoming dependent on these small, monthly, temporary cash advances.
These people have created an insecure, destructive ‘safety net’ for themselves. However, they do not fully realize it or are even aware of it. The best thing is to admit to yourself that you have a problem and extracate yourself from it. Just going from loan to loan, month to month is a very fragile method of running your life. Just think, if you missed a couple of payments elsewhere and spoiled your credit status, this credit line would soon disappear too.
People are finding out just how simple it is to get money with the modern methods of easily obtaining cash advances. In some instances, this means that some people are taking up cash advances even when they do not have a financial emergency, which is what cash advances were intended for. Some people are even using cash advances even for a birthday gift or a special night out.
Honestly, it is a fact, that too many people are using the cash that they get from cash advance loans, to go on a short break, purchase a new car or something like that. This is clearly not the right way of employing this financial implement. Moreover, it is in fact an abuse of the privilege that one obtains from being able to get a cash advance. It is also totally destructive to one’s learning of how to handle money properly.
The “no credit policy” of the majority of local stores is also one of the reasons why people are becoming cash advances victims. It means that people feel that they have to borrow money from a loan advance company, which means in turn that they end up having a higher debt to repay. If this situation goes on unchecked, it can lead to some people having to file for bankruptcy. This transforms the problem from being only a personal problem into a broader, social one.
The most proactive action you can take is to get out of debt as soon as possible. You could get help from a financial advisor from your bank or from another private financial sector company. It is their job to help you take a step in the right direction by making regular payments, which will eventually get you out of debt. Soon, you will be able to enjoy your interest free, hard earned money and will be back on track to a better and healthier financial situation.
However, having said all that, I will say that cash advances should not be blamed for our own human weaknesses: the lack of financial common-sense is the real culprit here.

The Termite Queen
Oct 8th
For the technically-minded, termites are eusocial animals of the Class Insecta; Subclass Pterygota; Infraclass Neoptera; Superorder Dictyoptera and Order Isoptera. They are not related to ants in any way, although some people refer to them as white ants. Having said, that termites do share certain traits with ants: firstly, work is apportioned along lines of gender and secondly, the leader of the nest is the termite queen.
A typical, mature colony will contain between several hundred and several million insects of the following types: nymphs (semi-mature young), workers, soldiers, and reproductive individuals of both sexes and at least one reproductive queen.
The reproductive caste, also referred to as the winged or alate caste, are usually the only termites with quite well-developed eyes although in some species there are occasionally soldiers with eyes too. Termites that are suitable to become alates will undergo an incomplete metamorphosis.
These changelings form a sub-caste in certain species of termites, functioning both as both workers, pseudergates, and also as latent replacement reproductive termite. These back-up alates can be brought on to replace dead primary reproductives and sometimes, in some species, replacement alates are brought on if a primary queen is killed.
In countries with distinct dry and rainy or monsoon seasons, like the tropics, the alates can be seen flying up from the earth in swarms that look like white streamers blowing in a breeze, immediately after a dry spell is broken by rain. These alates have three pairs of wings, but they are not good at flying.
They can be seen in their thousands flying around street lights like moths, where people catch them to eat. Lightly fried in their own oil, without the wings, they are supposed to be, juicy, nutty and full of protein. Quite tasty, in fact. Frogs and toads sit under the street lamps eagerly awaiting a juicy meal as well.
A queen is a former winged reproductive termite (of the Winged or Alate Caste. She will have flown away from her nest or nest of birth, dropped to the ground, shed her wings, mated and then crawled into the nearest hole in the ground (depending on her species) to establish a new colony or nest. In some species, the queen adds an further set of ovaries with each molt of her skin and can create 2,000 eggs a day.
A male that has flown and mated with the queen is known as a king. Sometimes, these kings stay near by the queen, but sometimes they do not. At the next molt, the king will be a little larger that he was at first. However, the king and the queen are not monogamous. Several males might mate with the queen and there may be several queens within a nest.
As the queen molts and grows bigger with each molt, her abdomen can become hundreds of times its original size, although her head and legs remain the same as before. Obviously, at this size she can no longer walk as her legs do not reach the ground and would not support her weight anyway. At this juncture, she is totally dependent on the assistance of worker termites, which she controls through pheromones.
Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on many topics, but is at present concerned with types of termites. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for further details.

What Are Termite Eggs?
Oct 7th
Termites are not ants, but they do resemble them in many ways. In fact, termites are not even remotely related to ants, they are more closely related to cockroaches. But, as I stated, termites share many characteristics with ants. They live in nests of many hundreds, thousands and even millions of inhabitants, they have a queen termite, they are controlled by something we humans do not understand, but which we refer to as ‘collective intelligence’, they are given this information by pheromones and they reproduce by means of eggs. The queen can lay thousands of termite eggs a day and there can be more than one queen per colony.
A mature termite queen is capable of laying thousands of eggs a day. This is achieved by having an enlarged abdomen. Sometimes the abdomen is a hundred times the size of a normal termite, although the head and the legs stay the same size as before.
This procedure produces quite a bizarre creature in relation to her relatives, although we clearly do not know how they regard her. Being blind and in the darkness of a termite colony they cannot see her anyway. In some species, the queen will grow a new pair of ovaries with each shedding of her skin, which will increase her fruitfulness even more.
When a mature queen is at this phase in her life, she cannot move, because when she lies on her belly her legs do not even reach the ground. If she has to get anywhere for whatever reason, the worker termites will either carry or roll her there. They also tend to her toiletry needs and feed her.
It can take dozens and dozens of workers to shift the queen when she has become an egg factory. If she is moved by the workers, they are rewarded with a liquid that the queen secretes from her behind. It is invigorating enough to revive the workers and encourage them to do the queen’s bidding next time. The queen communicates with her subjects through pheromones.
However we try to humanize this process in order to better understand it, it is virtually impossible to think like a termite or any other insect that uses ‘collective intelligence’. We talk about ‘the queen’, but do termites think of her as ‘the boss’? Do they pity her for not being able to get out? Almost definitely not. She has a job to perform as do the other castes of termites and it is probable that not one caste feels itself to be higher or lower than another.
Calling the different castes of termites queens, kings, soldiers and workers is just a method of explaining things in simple human terms, but it probably bears little relevance to how termites interact within their own community.
An interesting digression to the topic of termite eggs is the winged termites, also called reproductive or alate termites. They can sit in the wings waiting for the right moment to fly off and set up a new colony or one of them can be ‘brought on’ to replace a queen that has died or been killed.
Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on lots of subjects, but is at present concerned with how to get rid of termites. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for further details.

What Is The Best Home-Made Termite Killer?
Oct 4th
It is commendable that these days many people are trying to do without chemicals in their daily lives. There is, no doubt, plenty that most of can do to reduce the amount of chemicals that they use. Take a look under the sink in most homes and you will see dozens of bottles, cans and sprays to cover all of the routine household chores.
Many of them are unnecessary and could be replaced with home-made formulas. Except that most families have forgotten how to make them and it is easier to get a tin off a shelf. However, there are some jobs that are just too tough for the raw materials available to us and killing termites is one of them. Unfortunately, there is no known home-made termite killer that is as successful as some of the chemical compounds.
In such a situation, you have to lessen the load on the planet, while accepting that there will be some load. That is, use a chemical product that will have as little impact on the planet as possible. Some of the older methods of toxifying a house and its soil to either discourage or kill termites like the spreading of the inorganic metal, arsenic trioxide and insect growth hormones like fipronil are the least recommended approaches. However, these slow-acting poisons will lay around killing termites for weeks and will eventually wipe out the colony.
These days, rather than poison the soil for a hundred square yards or metres around your home, you are recommended to lay bait boxes instead. Bait boxes are toxic food sources for termites. The chemicals are confined to the bait boxes and can be removed when your problem has disappeared or can be left in situ to kill any future intruders.
These bait boxes are put where you have or are likely to get a problem, that is, wherever timber comes into (close) contact with the ground. They have an active lifespan and so have to be replaced or recharged, but they last quite a long time.
Other preventative measures you can take include sweeping up damp leaves from around the base of your house and not stacking wood on the ground around your house. Keep a close eye on any timber that comes close to the ground and be on the look out for pencil-like tubes of earth and wood pulp which are the termites walk-ways
if you are buying a new house in a termite danger zone, make sure that it has been constructed in a way that is unfriendly to termites. There are termite barriers that can be put under your house to prevent the ingress of termites, one of which is inedible concrete. You would have though that went without saying, wouldn’t you – ‘inedible’? However ordinary concrete is not a barrier to subterranean termites. Neither is plastic or rubber, in fact they love it.
if all else fails, you can eat them. Termites are eaten in some parts of the world. The flying termites are a good source of fat and protein and can be fried on a hotplate with adding oil or fat. Apparently, they taste mildly nutty.
Owen Jones, the writer of this article, writes on many subjects, but is at present concerned with Termidor termite treatment – a termite killer. If you are interested in this or if you are wondering: What Does A Termite Look Like?. Please go to our web site now for further details.

Fixing Your Debt Problems
Oct 1st
You must differentiate between adverse financial problems. For example, a financial emergency is when you experience a situation that can leave you penniless, homeless or without any significant possessions. You should separate these sorts of emergency from a threatening phone call or a letter from a debt collector.
When experiencing an emergency like these, it is vital to act at once. You need to begin by contacting the creditor. Doing so gives you time to work out a temporary solution, which may help you to hang on to your property. However, it doesn’t always work and if it doesn’t, contacting your solicitor to negotiate with the creditor is necessary.
Face up to the Problem: A popular maxim in debt problems is that “the less you know, the less it hurts”. However, you must learn how to face your debt problems. You must be able to do this because repairing the credit will not happen, unless you know exactly where your money goes or where it needs go instead.
Although it is not harmful to overestimate the amount of your debt, it is always beneficial to know how much money you really owe. You can do this by looking at the bills you have had. If you have thrown out your bills without even looking at them, you can still call customer services and ask about them or request duplicates.
Several creditors even use automated telephone systems, which can give a debt balance and information regarding the payments automatically, so you do not have to talk to anyone. Additionally, information about your account might also be available on your creditors’ web sites. After acquiring the necessary details, total them all up, especially those overdue instalment bills.
Options Available for Handling Your Debts: There are several choices available to you for dealing with your debts. One way is to do nothing. This option is probably the most popular approach employed by those who are deep in debt. Most often, these people have a very low income and maybe no property and do not usually expect any change in their lifestyle. If you do not anticipate any steady income in the near future, you could consider this option.
However, doing nothing does not really help, so maybe you could find some money to pay off your debts. You can do this by selling a major asset, like a car or a house. This can be a good choice if you can no longer afford your car or house payments. Instead of waiting for a repossession or foreclosure to happen, selling the property is always a far better option.
The proceeds you gain from the sales should be put towards lessening your debt. Moreover, you should remember to pay off the liens placed by the creditors and use anything that is left to pay (something) off your other debts. However, before taking this step, ensure that you have already worked out an alternative for your housing or transportation requirements.
A further way to help you pay off your debts, is to cut your expenses. This will aid you not only in the repayment of your debts but also when negotiating with your creditors. Try to reduce the cost of your food by clipping coupons, buying generic brands, buying when there is a sale on or shopping at discount outlets.
However, if you cannot cut your expenses enough, you could always borrow money from a tax-deferred account. Tax-deferred retirement accounts, like IRA or 401(k), can be used to help pay off debts by withdrawing money from them before retirement. However, since you might have to pay a penalty or taxes, this must only serve as your last resort.

Patio Heaters In Business
Sep 27th
If you own a restaurant, pub or any business using outdoor amenities in a temperate climate zone, then you will know that custom is likely to drop off when the weather gets cooler. You know that you would not sit outside shivering yourself, so you do not count on anyone else to do it. The only answer is to modify the outdoor ambient temperature to an acceptable level.
I have seen this done to stunning effect in Prague in October when there were heavy snow storms. People wanted to sit outside and get pleasure from the snow storm as long as they were fairly warm. A person’s primary heat comes from the body and is retained with decent clothing, but it is nice to have a patio heater near-by just to add a glow to your face and hands.
If you have a business that only opens when it is warm enough, then you have an expensive business and these days expensive businesses do not last long. You need to wring every last cent out of your business real estate and if that means putting patio heaters in, then that is what you ought to do.
Patio heaters come in a range of guises, but they are not that expensive to buy. Sometimes you can rent them too. Most of these outdoor heaters run on bottles of propane or butane gas, but there are mains gas varieties too. There are also electric ones, but they tend to be costly to run, unless you can generate your own electricity.
I think that the best two types are the box type where the gas canister goes inside the apparatus and the heat is directed at foot to knee height and the street lantern style, where the heat comes down from about seven or eight feet in height. The gas cylinder also fits inside these models lowering their centre of gravity and making them more difficult to unintentionally knock over.
These heaters are very safe although patrons should be advised to exercise care if they have young children with them. A standard heater will keep up to two tables and eight people warm enough to enjoy themselves even while it is snowing.
The hire of a few of these patio heaters or even their purchase will soon be off-set by your augmented custom, particularly if your competitors are not using them. My wife and I will never forget our time in Prague, when it was snowing, drinking coffee and eating cake outside, watching people go by while we were as warm as toast due to the restaurateur’s prudence in providing patio heaters.
Owen Jones, the writer of this piece, writes on many topics, but is currently involved with the propane outdoor heater. If you are interested in patio heaters too, please click through to Residential Patio Heaters.
